The government is encouraging people to use solar power by installing panels on their roofs. They call it the Grid-connected Rooftop Solar Scheme (Phase-II). If you install panels, the Ministry will give you a subsidy of 40% for the first 3 kilowatts and 20% for up to 10 kilowatts. The local electricity companies will be the ones helping you with this program.
